Dear Shareholders,                                                                                                    11/01/2012

 

            The board of directors thanks you in your efforts to conserve water during this very dry year!  At the Board of Directors meeting held September 18, 2012 the assessment of $10.00 per share and $110.00 per connection was levied on the capital stock of the company for system maintenance and general operating costs.  Please review your assessment invoice to insure that all the information is correct and indicate any changes on the back of your remit slip.  Payments are now accepted on-line.  See invoice for details.

               

NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING

                You are hereby notified that the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at the Tooele County Courthouse for the following purposes:               

1.       Approval of Minutes and Financial Report

2.       Elect one three-year Board Member*

3.      President’s report

4.      Other business

 

                Any assessment unpaid on the 15^th day of January, 2013, will be delinquent and become a lien against the shares and accrue interest in the highest legal annual rate, which lien must be paid in full before the shares may be transferred according to the Articles of Incorporation of the Company.  There will be a $25.00 charge on any check returned to the Company due to insufficient funds.

 

                Notice is hereby given that Settlement Canyon Irrigation Company will no longer recognize leased water shares unless the proper paperwork is filed with the Company office.  Please contact the secretary for more information.

 

 

*Any votes of water shares done by proxy must have permission in writing.  All proxy information must be turned into the office at least 5 days prior to the annual meeting.

Settlement Canyon Irrigation thanks all shareholders for their efforts in to conserve water during this very dry year!  The irrigation water is now off for the season.  Make sure to clear your lines to avoid freezing your valve or pipes.  Annual assessments will be mailed by November 5th.

In accordance with law, and by order of the Board of Directors made on July 17, 2012 so many shares of each parcel of the stock of each shareholder as may be necessary to meet the amount due will be sold at the Pioneer Museum, 47 E. Vine Street, Basement Room, Tooele, Utah on September 29, 2012 at the hour of 12:00pm, to pay the delinquent assessments, together with the cost of advertising and expenses of sale.

If any of the above shares are sold at auction and purchased by the Company, or by an officer or director of the Company for the benefit of the officer or director, the shares may be redeemed by the shareholder for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of sale for the same amounts tendered by the Company or said officer or director.

Irrigation lines near 700 South will be down for repair again today.  Shareholders scheduled to water in the morning hours should be able to water from 5:00pm to 8:00pm this evening.

The main line running down 700 South is down for repair. Please check back after 2:00pm for more details & addition schedule instructions.

June 28, 2012

All irrigation lines are down due to a major repair near the reservior. Shareholders with watering times Thursday & Friday may water Saturday following the same schedules. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Irrigation lines near 900 West & Vine will be down for repair until mid-day tomorrow.

Announcement May 24, 2012

One of the well pumps at the reservior is down for repair.  This means that the amount of water going into the damn is limited.  Please conserve water!

Current Water Restrictions

Shareholders are restricted from watering from Thursdays 7:00pm until Monday 7:00am.  There will be little to no run off this year, so SCIC is urging all share holders to conserve water.

The west side of Main Street and the east side of 100 East are down for repair.  The lines should be back on by tomorrow, April 25th.  All other lines are operating.
